Brad Kowitz is the owner and creator of TrailRecon, a thriving media and entertainment company that he started with his sons in 2015. Through TrailRecon, Brad explores some of the most scenic and remote locations across America in his off-road capable vehicles, bringing his viewers along for the journey as he shares his overland adventures on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
Before starting TrailRecon, Brad served as a Hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Navy for 26 years. He deployed multiple times during his career aboard U.S. Navy ships, in support of international humanitarian missions, while serving with the Marines, and a combat tour in Fallujah, Iraq. He retired honorably in 2016, having attained the highest enlisted rank of Master Chief.
After retiring, Brad worked as a government contractor for the Naval Health Research Center in San Diego, serving as a military liaison and advisor for behavioral health scientists and researchers, until 2019 when he decided to take a leap and go in full-time to grow TrailRecon.
Brad resides in Southern California with his wife Regena. He has three adult sons, two of whom are in college and one who is now following in his footsteps, serving in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman.
