Why We Love It
When it comes to a vehicle that’s going to reliably get you into the backcountry, and back out again, it’s always been hard to beat the Toyota Tacoma. That’s why at Expedition Overland, we’re on our third Tacoma—we’ve put every generation through their paces in our adventures from Prudhoe Bay to the Darien Gap and a whole bunch of America in-between. The all-new 2016 Tacoma shares some of the familiar bits we loved about the our previous Tacomas, with a slew of improvements, new rugged styling, and a fuel-efficient 3.5-liter Atkinson Cycle engine. Follow along on the 8 part series to find out how we’ve built this Tacoma for adventure.
Tools, Equipment and modifications designed around self sustained living from the vehicle
Continuing with its tradition of designing purposeful high quality equipment for overland travel, AT Overland Equipment unveils the all new Tacoma Habitat truck topper. The goal of the new camper design is to provide a lightweight yet robust camping platform for today’s’ fuel efficient trucks while still leaving room for the individual owners to customize it to their specific needs. The Habitat addresses the needs for a reliable opening mechanism, built in awning and high quality fabrics not currently offered in the market space.
